Painting a Portrait from a Live Model
Etobicoke Art Group, in Neilson Park Creative Centre, Etobicoke.
All levels of ability and experience were welcomed.
We began with charcoal and contée on newsprint, then monochromatic painting, and later to full colour using a limited pallet. All mediums were welcome; however, demonstrations were given in a non toxic method of painting with oils. Focus was given to drawing, composition, focal point, mixing colours, finding colour harmonies and more.
